Daisy’s Ferry Review – Stena Line from France to Ireland 🐾🚢 Well, this was ruff! This was my fourth time taking the ferry from France to Ireland, but my first (and last) time with Stena Line. While the pet area was great, the rest of the ship? Not so much. 😬 ❌ Inside cabin = no sleep – Vibrations, loud noises, and a tired mom who just wanted to chill. ✅ Pet area = well set up – At least they got that part right! ❌ Overall experience = not Daisy-approved – If your pup is sensitive to noise, think twice before booking. We’ve had much smoother, quieter journeys with Irish Ferries and Brittany Ferries, and I’ll be sharing my top ferry picks soon. It’s absolutely tiny, you are packed on a bus like a sardine. You cannot drive to it, the road will be closed. A Dog-Friendly Day in Athens: Exploring the Acropolis and Beyond Athens is a fantastic destination for a dog-friendly vacation, and our recent trip proved just that! If you’re planning to visit the iconic Acropolis with your pup, here’s a helpful guide to making the most of your day while ensuring a comfortable experience for both you and your furry friend. Getting to the Acropolis – The Best Route To reach the Acropolis easily, we took the subway to Acropolis Station, which is by far the best approach if you want to avoid a strenuous uphill climb. While you can enter from Monastiraki, keep in mind that this route involves a serious workout with plenty of steps—something to consider if you’re traveling with a small dog or just prefer a more leisurely walk. Once we arrived, we walked up the hill and were immediately greeted by stunning views and plenty of other dog owners enjoying the sunshine. The area around the Acropolis is lively, and the grounds outside the historical site offer amazing sights—including amphitheaters and panoramic viewpoints—all without needing an entrance ticket. While dogs aren’t allowed inside the archaeological site, we did spot one roaming around, which was likely a stray rather than a pet. That said, there’s plenty to explore outside with your dog, making it a worthwhile visit even without stepping inside the gates. After soaking in the history, we headed to a restaurant just across the way from the Acropolis. The location was perfect, offering unbeatable views and the ideal setting for a relaxed lunch. While the prices were slightly higher than some other spots in Athens, they were still reasonable given the prime location and atmosphere. Plus, the stunning scenery makes it a 10/10 Insta worthy stop! Post-lunch, we wandered around the historic prison area before making our way back up to the Acropolis entrance and down the same route. There’s so much more to see, and we didn’t manage to cover everything in one day—so a Part Two visit is definitely on the agenda! If you’re planning a trip to Athens with your dog, the Acropolis area is a must-visit. Just remember: ✅ Take the subway to Acropolis Station for an easier route ✅ Enjoy the incredible views from outside the Acropolis (no ticket required!) ✅ Treat yourself to a scenic lunch nearby ✅ Explore hidden historical spots around the area We can’t wait to return and discover more. Ah, my friends, our Mykonos adventure has come to an end! But you know what? Leaving Mykonos is almost as breezy as lounging on the beach. 🏝️✨ The great thing about Mykonos Airport (JMK) is that it’s tiny and stress-free. Walk in, check-in counters right in front of you, security right beside that, and boom—two minutes later, you’re through! 🏃‍♀️💨 There are only about four gates, and when we were there, our flight was the only one boarding. It’s so relaxed, you can just sit at the bar and literally watch your plane pull up—like waiting for a bus! 🚍✈️ The passengers hop off, you hop on, and off you go! A quick 25-minute flight later, we were back in Athens. 🏛️ 🐶 Where We Stayed: We checked into Olvis Luxury Suites—a 10/10 experience! Would totally go back, but maybe in March, April, October, or November. February? Hmm… maybe not. 😆 Have you ever flown from Mykonos? Or do you prefer the ferry?
