Best Dog-Friendly Hotels in Dolomites

Italy

13 dog-friendly luxury hotels.

Where can my dog actually go?

The Dolomites reward dog owners who read the small print. Thirteen hotels across Cortina, Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Alpe di Siusi and Kronplatz take dogs, and the best of them go a long way. Forestis above Brixen has a designated evening dining area for dogs and will cook fresh dog meals. Falkensteiner Kronplatz sells a Welcome Dog Kit, lets dogs into the bar and lobby, and books walking and grooming. COMO Alpina on the Alpe di Siusi lets small dogs join you at the chalet bar and terrace.

The big Ortisei spa hotels mostly refuse, and Hotel Angelo Engel stopped taking dogs in December 2025, so check dates on anything you find elsewhere. Adults-only Sensoria and Acadia both say yes, which is unusual.

The walking is the point. The Alpe di Siusi meadows, the Vallunga valley at Selva, the Plose forest trails and the Kronplatz woods all take dogs on a lead. Cable cars generally do too, with a ticket, but check each one.
