Lake Lucerne and the Bürgenstock
Best Dog-Friendly Hotels in Lucerne

36 dog-friendly luxury hotels.
Where can my dog actually go?
Lucerne gives you two holidays in one: a lakeside city with a medieval bridge, and a ring of hilltop and lakeshore resorts a boat ride away. Thirty-six hotels take dogs. The Bürgenstock has a pet menu and bowls in the room. Schweizerhof Luzern leaves a blanket or basket and a treat from the organic dog bakery. Villa Honegg on its hill above the lake gives a blanket and bowls, and Chenot Palace Weggis puts dogs in a carpet-free room with direct meadow access.
The lake is the point. SGV boats take dogs on a ticket, so Weggis, Vitznau and the Bürgenstock funicular are all reachable with the dog aboard. In the city, the Reuss riverbank, the Musegg wall towers and the lakeside promenade to the Lido are all easy lead walks.
Fees run from free at Seehotel Pilatus to CHF 100 at The Hotel. The Bürgenstock properties are CHF 60, most city four-stars CHF 15 to CHF 30.
