Best Dog-Friendly Hotels in Taormina

Italy

12 dog-friendly luxury hotels.

Where can my dog actually go?

Taormina splits into the hilltop town and the coast at Mazzarò and Isola Bella, and both take dogs. Twelve hotels made the catalogue. Both Belmonds, the Timeo by the Greek Theatre and Villa Sant'Andrea on the bay, leave a pet bed and water bowl. Grand Hotel San Pietro includes a pet kit with mat and bowl in its fee. Villa Carlotta has its own pet page and prepares the room. San Domenico Palace takes small dogs too, at EUR 150 a day.

The town is stairs and steep lanes, so a small dog earns its carry. The Villa Comunale gardens are the green break, Corso Umberto is the evening passeggiata, and the cable car down to Mazzarò makes the beach reachable. Beaches are pebble, and dog access on the sand is limited to specific lidos, so ask before you settle.

UNA Capotaormina takes a 25 kg dog but bans pets 20 June to 15 September. Villa Fiorita refuses. Palazzo Vecchio and Metropole conflict, so confirm before booking.
