The pine grove behind the sand gives you real shade for a morning walk in July, which matters more here than a sea view. For a proper swim day, drive west to Porto Limnionas or Limni Keriou's unorganised rocks rather than trying the beach below the room.

Dogs stay out of enclosed public rooms, so that means the restaurants, the bars, the fitness centre and the spa. The open grounds are fine on a lead, in a crate or in a stroller. No swimming in any pool. The beach in front of the resort is a protected loggerhead nesting beach and dogs aren't permitted on it.
