The arrival welcome, a bed, food and water bowls, and treats delivered to the room shortly after settling, sets a tone of genuine inclusion. Staff remembered Daisy's name and checked in on her. The location is exceptional: steps from Guggenheim, Old Town, Parque de Doña Casilda, and the Nervión River promenade. Daisy felt like a guest in her own right. At EUR 20 per night, this is fair pricing for what you get. Would absolutely stay again.

The hotel

Central Bilbao Autograph with thoughtful dog welcome and exceptional location

Four-star Marriott Autograph Collection in the financial and commercial centre of Bilbao, walking distance to the Guggenheim Museum and Old Town. Features a rooftop La Terraza bar with 70s-glamour design and thoughtful dog welcome with in-room amenities. Dogs are welcomed with a bed, bowls, and treats delivered after settling. Daisy-tested and approved.

The in-room arrival kit (bed, bowls, treats) delivered with genuine care. Staff remembering her name and checking in on her. The location, steps from Guggenheim and Old Town, with parks and river walks all within reach.

What we noticed

Arrival

Seamless check-in at this exceptional location. Room was huge with wow factor, beautiful macarons in glass casing, slippers and robes. Shortly after settling, staff arrived with dog bed, bowl, and bag of treats. Daisy wasted no time playing with the treat bag and relaxing on her new bed.

The room

Large one-bedroom suite with two bathrooms. Felt like an old Hollywood hotel. Spacious open living area, more apartment than hotel room. Daisy darted around investigating. The pet amenities kit (bed, bowls, treats) was delivered after settling and made her feel immediately at home. Carpeted room.

Request a room with hardwood floors (not carpeted) if available, to minimize accident visibility. Confirm pet-friendly room allocation. One-bedroom suites are generously spacious.

Worth knowing

Dogs not allowed in main restaurant, lounge-snack areas only. Most rooms are carpeted, which means accidents are more visible. No on-site dog relief area, though plenty of nearby walking paths and small green spaces.

Walkability

Exceptional walkability. Guggenheim is steps away. Old Town, Nervión River promenade, Parque de Doña Casilda all within walking distance. No transport needed after arrival.
