Parque Taoro starts just above the hotel and drops through terraces and shaded paths into town, and Playa Jardin's black sand and promenade is about twenty minutes' walk downhill.

Dogs stay in two room types, the Deluxe Double with Teide view and the Ambassador Junior Suite with garden or ocean view. At dinner they're welcome in the gallery area of the Parrilla restaurant, the right-hand side of the Oriental restaurant and the back section of Pappagallo in winter or its terrace in summer. In the Bar Hall and on the Palmera Real terrace the dog needs to be in a bag or carrier, as it does anywhere indoors. In the gardens dogs walk on a lead. The Oriental Spa Garden is people only.
