“An 1889 brick landmark on Main Street, run by Auberge Resorts Collection, with rooms from around 525 square feet up and a set of bars that locals actually use, including the J-Bar and Bad Harriet. The look is Rocky Mountain rather than alpine kitsch, all cowhide and antler and heavy timber. It suits travellers who want to be in the town rather than at a lift base. On dogs it is one of the few Aspen hotels that states outright there is no weight or breed limit.
