The Esplanade park starts at the front door and runs 400 metres down to the Market Square, and the fenced dog park on Tervasaari island at Tervasaarenkannas 3 is a twenty minute walk north through Kruununhaka. Kaivopuisto and its sea edge are about 1.5 km south.
