The hotel is on the Stresa lakeside promenade, so the first walk of the day is the flat lungolago towards the Villa Pallavicino park at the north end of town, where dogs are allowed on a lead. And there aren't many hotels here that let her come to breakfast.

On a lead, dogs can go into all common areas apart from the spa and the pool areas (Beach Club and Sky Pool). They're welcome in the restaurant, breakfast included. Say so when you book and the hotel will hold a quieter table. A dog used to being alone can stay in the room for a short time while you're still in the hotel, with the Do Not Disturb sign out.
