“A set of restored townhouses strung along St Barbara Bastion with the Grand Harbour directly below, run as one small design hotel. It holds ION Harbour, one of the most decorated restaurants in Malta, plus a rooftop pool club. Rooms are individually designed and the whole thing feels more like a private house than a hotel. The pet policy is the most open in Malta, with no weight limit, no breed limit and no charge.

Why it's in the collection

The bastion path along St Barbara Bastion starts at the front door with the Grand Harbour below it, and Lower Barrakka Gardens is about five minutes further along the same wall.
