The Lielupe river is minutes away and is where Jūrmala actually allows dogs to swim, outside the two official bathing spots at Ezeru iela and Priedaine, and the pine woods around the hotel give you shade in summer and shelter in winter.
From 1 April to 31 October the city bans dogs from Jurmala's sea beaches, so plan river walks instead.
