“The Viru is the 23-storey tower on Viru väljak that was Soviet Estonia's showpiece hotel and still keeps a KGB museum on the top floor. It runs 516 rooms over the Viru shopping centre, with restaurants, a sauna and a fitness room. It suits travellers who want the Old Town's eastern gate two minutes away and do not mind a hotel that trades on its own history. The pet charge here is the lowest published in the city.
