“A 25-room four-star village of low buildings set in gardens about a kilometre inland from the beach at Skala, with a pool, a restaurant and bicycles for hire. The spread-out, ground-floor layout is easier with a dog than a tower block, and the gardens give you somewhere to go at 7am. Skala is the south-east corner of Kefalonia, about 45 minutes from Argostoli. There's no published pet policy, so the terms need agreeing up front.
