Sheraton Lisboa Hotel & Spa

Friction-free Lisbon stay with a thoughtful dog welcome

Book this stay
Daisy's Verdict
Would Daisy stay again? Yes, without hesitation.
An unexpected last-minute booking that delivered. The Sheraton Lisboa earns its place by treating Daisy as a guest, not an exception, bed and blanket waiting, bowls included, full bar and restaurant access, and a 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the rare moment she's solo. The EUR 50 per-stay fee is the right price for two nights or more (most Lisbon hotels charge that much per night). Not the most lavish dog welcome in Europe, but consistent, thoughtful, and friction-free, exactly what you want when a city stop comes together at the last minute.

The hotel

Friction-free Lisbon stay with a thoughtful dog welcome

Large Marriott-affiliated Sheraton tower hotel near Marquês de Pombal and Avenida da Liberdade in central Lisbon. Heated outdoor pool, sauna, hammam, and full-service spa. The dog welcome is consistent and thoughtful: bed, blanket, bowls, and a 'Do Not Disturb' sign provided for moments when your dog is alone in the room. A solid last-minute Lisbon stay that punches above its weight on the pet front.

A consistent, friction-free dog welcome that doesn't make a song and dance about it. Bed and blanket waiting in the room, bowls included, and the 'Do Not Disturb' sign for unattended moments is the kind of practical detail you only get when a property has thought it through. The Bonvoy app early check-in (room ready by 9 AM) was the cherry on top.

What we noticed
Arrival

Booked the night before. As a Bonvoy member, I messaged the hotel through the app to ask about early check-in and they went above and beyond, by 9 AM the room was ready and Daisy was settled. This is what loyalty programs deliver: not points but practical accommodation when you're traveling with a dog and need a smooth landing.

The room

The room had a plush dog bed and blanket waiting, food and water bowls, and a 'Do Not Disturb' sign provided specifically for indicating when Daisy was alone in the room. Complete enough that I felt comfortable using the spa for an hour while Daisy rested.

Daisy's Note

Confirm pet acceptance with hotel before any booking.

Worth knowing

The pet fee is EUR 50 per stay, not per night, reasonable for two or more nights, possibly steep for a single overnight. Sunday brunch is buffet-style, so a carrier is essential if you want to bring your dog through the buffet line. À la carte dining on other days is much easier.

Walkability

Well-positioned for exploring Lisbon. A 10-15 minute walk to the standard sightseeing tour starting points. The nearby park (which hosted the Christmas market when we visited) is ideal for a stroll with Daisy. The neighbourhood is walkable and Lisbon is broadly dog-tolerant in public spaces.

Daisy's Note

Daisy's tail wagged the entire time.

Unattended in roomYes

Daisy was welcome in the room, the bar (water brought without asking, tapas shared), the main restaurant à la carte and Sunday brunch (carrier required for the buffet line), and was comfortable left unattended in the room with the provided 'Do Not Disturb' sign. The spa was the only off-limits zone.
