The on-leash Marvin Braude beach bike path runs right past the hotel for morning walks, though dogs must stay off the sand. The off-leash Pacific Street Dog Park is a short walk or drive inland.

Dogs are welcome on the patio at Coast Beach Café and Bar and on the Lobby Terrace, on a lead and off the furniture. They aren't in the other restaurants, the spa, the fitness centre or the pool areas. Despite the beachfront setting, dogs are banned from the sand.
