The Huxley Copenhagen

Daisy's Assessment
Researched and verified. Not yet personally stayed.
A Danish boutique design hotel on a quiet street behind the Royal Theatre and Nyhavn, furnished with Arne Jacobsen and Fritz Hansen pieces and 200 metres from Kongens Nytorv Metro. It suits design travellers who want a central, walkable base with direct Metro access from the airport. It is named after one of the owners' dogs, Huxley, who visits the hotel, and it accepts small dogs. The Huxley Lounge bar is the social heart of the ground floor.

Why it's in the collection

The Gammelholm streets, Nyhavn quay and the lakes walk are all close for lead walks, and Kongens Nytorv Metro is 200 metres away so dogs can travel across the city. Kongens Have is the nearest park, lead only, and the Amager Strandpark dog beach is the nearest real off-lead water.

Best suited for

Small dogs only, one dog, and by guest reports a dog may only be left in the room if crated.

Small dogs only. The hotel has a lobby bar, the Huxley Lounge. Guest reports indicate a dog may only be left in the room if it is in a crate, confirm directly.

Where we can't yet confirm a detail first-hand, we mark it plainly rather than guess. A Daisy stay will close every gap.
