The hotel backs onto open New Forest, and Balmer Lawn, the green beside the Lymington River where ponies graze, is on the far side of Brockenhurst village, a short drive away.
One dog per room, no larger than a Labrador, and dogs stay out of the main house and indoor restaurant.

Dogs can join you on the outdoor terraces when they're open, including for meals, and on lead walks around the grounds. They aren't allowed in the main house, the indoor restaurant, the bars, communal guest areas or the Kitchen Gardens. A crate is provided so your dog can settle in the room while you go to dinner. No evening turndown in dog rooms unless you arrange it while you're out walking.
