Lady Anne's Drive runs from opposite the hotel through the pinewoods to Holkham Beach, and the gates to 3,000 acres of Holkham Park are next door. Wells Beach and its huts are a walk west along the pines.

Dogs can join you at breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant, and in the bar and lounge. Keep them on a lead around the hotel. Ancient House, the second building across the road, is dog free. The two attic rooms suit dogs who can manage steep stairs, and Room 3 is small, better for a little dog.
