Eleven acres of gardens with a wash station for muddy paws, and the Kennet and Avon canal towpath at Widbrook is about 400 metres away, which puts a flat, shaded walk towards Avoncliff aqueduct right at the gate.

Dogs are welcome in all areas of the hotel apart from The Kitchen restaurant, and the conservatory is the dog-friendly place to eat. Dog-friendly bedrooms need to be pre-booked and all of them open directly onto the 11 acres of gardens. The Junior Suite and the Family Friendly rooms take dogs, as do some Classic Doubles. The Cosy Room and the Super Deluxe Double do not.
