“A luxury farm resort at Gardiner with 140 acres of meadows, trails and open land. Up to two dogs under 75 pounds are welcome, with a bed and bowls waiting in the room. It suits owners who want space outdoors and don't mind that indoor public areas are dog free.

Why it's in the collection

The resort's own 140 acres of meadows and trails are open to dogs on a lead, and The Great Porch means you can sit out together. Minnewaska State Park Preserve and Mohonk Preserve both take dogs on a six-foot lead.

Best suited for

Dogs are welcome outdoors and on The Great Porch but not in indoor public spaces or at the pool.

The open question

How the welcome translates in person, at dinner and around the hotel. That's what a Daisy stay will confirm.

Leashed dogs are welcome in outdoor public areas, including The Great Porch. Dogs aren't in indoor public spaces such as Clay restaurant and Thistle spa, at the pool, or at group experiences and events. Dogs can be left in the room alone if you put the bone magnet provided on the outside of the door, and housekeeping is paused while they're in there.

Where we can't yet confirm a detail first-hand, we mark it plainly rather than guess. A Daisy stay will close every gap.
