Tapeworm tablet before you land in Ireland: 24 to 120 hours before arrival
Your dog needs a tapeworm tablet from a vet no less than 24 hours and no more than 5 days (120 hours) before you land. Count back from your arrival time, not your departure. That means a vet appointment where you are now, two or three days before the flight, and the vet writes the product, the date and the exact time into the passport or certificate. Ireland, Northern Ireland, Malta, Finland and Norway are the only places in Europe that ask for this, and Great Britain asks on the way back in. Nowhere else does. Miss the window and the dog is refused.

Book your dog the moment you book your seat.
Every airline caps pets per flight, some at two, and the “72 hours before departure” on their website is a deadline, not a plan. If the pet spots are gone you don't fly with your dog, and the airline usually won't refund you. Add the dog the same day, then confirm it's on the booking in writing.

One stop, if the direct flight doesn't suit
Every airline below takes a dog in the cabin on that leg, and each leg has been checked against the same country rules as a direct flight. Two legs means two check-ins and a dog who has to cope with the change, so it’s the fallback, not the first choice. If you leave the airside area at the stop, that country’s entry rules apply to your dog too.
BRU → AMS → DUBKLM Royal Dutch Airlines the whole way, one booking KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flies both legs, so your dog goes on a single booking. Add the pet when you book and check there’s cabin space on both flights.
BRU → CDG → DUB Two airlines, so two separate bookings. Brussels Airlines to CDG, then Air France on to DUB. Add your dog to each one, and confirm the cabin spots on the second leg before you pay for the first.
