Vets in Switzerland for your dog's tapeworm tablet and passport stamp
Switzerland doesn't ask for the tapeworm tablet to get in, but it's where a lot of people need it done before heading on to the UK, Ireland, Malta, Finland or Norway. It's also the most expensive place on our list.
What it costs in Switzerland
Around €90 to 110
- Budget around €90 to 110 for the visit, tablet and stamp. Montreux clinics publish CHF 55 to 58 for the consultation with the tablet charged on top, and out-of-hours visits add CHF 50 to 180.
- Book ahead. Swiss clinics fill up, and very few publish holiday hours.
- Carry your dog's passport with you the whole time you're in Switzerland.

Before you book
This is a research tool, not the last word. We checked every listing against the vet’s own website or booking page on 19 October 2026. Opening hours and prices change, so confirm with the vet when you book. Prices are based on what i paid for daisy's tablet and stamp, plus published clinic prices.
Not sure what your dog needs? The paperwork rules, in order. Used a vet that should be here, or found one out of date? Tell Daisy.
