What the paperwork costs
$101 USDA fee, plus the vet's fee
- USDA charges $101 to endorse the certificate when no lab tests are needed, which is the usual case for Europe.
- Vet fees vary hugely. The ones that publish prices charge $700 to $1,000 for the full service, so ring around.
- Ask for a USDA-accredited vet by name when you book. Not every vet in a clinic is accredited.
- Coming home is easier. Fill in the CDC Dog Import Form online before you fly back.
Before you book
This is a research tool, not the last word. We checked every listing against the vet’s own website or booking page on 19 October 2026. Opening hours and prices change, so confirm with the vet when you book. Prices are based on usda aphis and published clinic prices.
Not sure what your dog needs? The paperwork rules, in order. Used a vet that should be here, or found one out of date? Tell Daisy.
