The beach is across the promenade. From 1 June to 15 September dogs stay out of the five lifeguarded zones between 10:00 and 19:00, and outside those zones the sand is open to dogs almost any time. The Duinbossen dune woods behind the village are good for shade on a short lead, and the coast tram stops in the centre of De Haan.
Dogs are welcome for a supplement of EUR 25 per night.
