Grand Hotel Zermatterhof
Historic five star grande dame welcoming small dogs with basket and bowls
This hotel is part of the Daisy Curated Collection. Its information has been researched and verified, but Daisy has not yet personally stayed here. When she does, this page will be upgraded to a full Daisy Verified inspection.
What we've verified
The Gornergrat railway is a few minutes' walk away for the Riffelsee and Riffelberg trails, and the Vispa river promenade and the old-village path up to Zmutt start almost from the front door.
Small dogs only, must be declared in advance with breed and weight, and not allowed in the indoor restaurants or spa.
How the welcome translates in person, at dinner and around the hotel. That's what a Daisy stay will confirm.
CHF 45, Per night, food not included
What we've confirmed, at a glance.
Verified with the hotel, honestly marked.
Dogs are welcome in guest rooms and at the outdoor Lusi Terrace and Lusi Lounge, but not in the indoor restaurants (Brasserie Lusi, saycheese, Alpine Gourmet Prato Borni) or the spa. Guests arriving with a dog are transferred from Zermatt station in the hotel's electric car rather than the horse-drawn carriage. The hotel closes seasonally between the summer and winter seasons, roughly late September to early December, so check dates before booking.
Where we can't yet confirm a detail first-hand, we mark it plainly rather than guess. A Daisy stay will close every gap.
Everything, without the wall of text.
