“Hôtel Swexan opened in 2023 as the centrepiece of the Harwood District, a Leading Hotels of the World member with a rooftop infinity pool, five bars and restaurants and a Michelin-recommended steakhouse. It fits travellers with a smaller dog who want new-build luxury and design. Its dog offering leans into service, with dog walking and a Vogue-featured puppy playlist. The catch is a firm 35 lb cap and no unattended pets.

The Harwood District is one of the more walkable modern pockets in Uptown, and Turtle Creek greenery and the Katy Trail are within reach for proper walks. Small dogs do best here given the 35 lb cap, and summer walks are best kept early or late.
