Zermatt is car-free, so you arrive by the shuttle train from Täsch to Zermatt station, then take the Gornergrat railway roughly 20 minutes up to Riffelalp, where the resort's own tram (Europe's highest, from 1899) runs the final stretch to the hotel. Dogs travel free on Zermatt mountain lifts. Confirm the tram handles your dog when you book.
