Dogs only, accepted on request, and not permitted in the indoor restaurant. The hotel can only be reached by the Gornergrat Bahn from Zermatt, a ride of about 23 minutes at a surcharge. On the railway, small dogs up to 30 cm tall travel free in a suitable carrier, while larger dogs need a half-price ticket. Guests are advised that they cannot dine down in Zermatt in the evening because of the limited train schedule, so the set dinner is effectively the only option.
