The hotel has its own quay and small beach on the doorstep, and the Fal river walk to Flushing across the water is one of the calmer dog walks in Cornwall. Gyllyngvase, the big town beach, is about fifteen minutes on foot and is closed to dogs in the middle of the day from mid May to the end of September.
Twelve dog rooms, up to three dogs each, and the bar is dogs-at-breakfast only.

Twelve of the rooms take dogs and up to three dogs can share one. Quiet dogs come to breakfast in the dog friendly corner of the Water's Edge bar, and The Working Boat pub downstairs takes dogs in all areas for drinks, lunch and dinner. Dogs don't go into the Water's Edge restaurant, and other than at breakfast they are not in the upstairs bar after 10.30am. The private quay, the hotel's beach and the harbour facing gardens are all open to them.
