Eating out in Milan with a dog
Milan is ten out of ten for a dog, minus the weather. Dogs go everywhere here, inside cafés, bars and boutiques as well as out, and we never once had a problem getting around with Daisy. She was welcome inside the Aperol bar on the square facing the Duomo and in every small shop we went into.

Questions people ask
- Where in Milan can my dog sit with me on the terrace?
- Ceresio 7, Erba Brusca and Locanda alla Mano take dogs outside but we couldn't confirm inside.
- Which Milan restaurants don't allow dogs inside?
- La Cupola (Park Hyatt Milano) and Pellico 3 Milano (Park Hyatt Milano) keep dogs out of the dining room.
- What does "not confirmed" mean?
- We couldn't find the restaurant's dog rule in writing and haven't eaten there with Daisy, so we haven't guessed. Many will say yes, so ask when you book.
Ring or message before you go
This is a research tool, not the last word. Restaurants change hands, managers change their minds, and a place that takes dogs at lunch can say no at a busy Saturday dinner. Every listing shows where the answer came from and when we checked it. Confirm with the restaurant itself when you book, and tell them you’re bringing your dog.
